Side Effects & Cautions
Some people experience side effects when starting Wegovy or increasing the dose. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, reduced appetite, and stomach discomfort. These often improve as your body gets used to the medicine.
Less common but more serious side effects can occur. If you experience severe or ongoing abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, signs of dehydration, or anything that concerns you, you should seek medical advice promptly.
Wegovy is not suitable for everyone. It may not be appropriate if you have a history of pancreatitis, certain digestive conditions, or specific endocrine disorders. It should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
