Lyclear Creme Rinse 1% 59ml Permethrin

• Wash hair with a mild, non-conditioning shampoo, rinse and towel dry so it remains damp. Shake the bottle. Apply enough creme rinse to saturate scalp and hair, paying special attention behind the ears and at the nape. Leave on for a full 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. While hair is still wet, comb in sections from roots to ends with the fine-toothed comb to remove lice and eggs. Check the hair after 7 days. If live lice are present, repeat the treatment. If infestation persists after 14 to 20 days, seek alternative advice. Suitable for adults and children over 6 months. Use in children under 3 years should be under close medical supervision. Avoid contact with eyes.

• Active ingredient, permethrin 1% w/w. Other ingredients include isopropyl alcohol, stearalkonium chloride, cetyl alcohol, ceteth-10, hydroxyethylcellulose, hydrolysed animal protein, propylene glycol, methyl and propyl hydroxybenzoates, fragrance allergens, sunset yellow E110, anhydrous citric acid and purified water. Pack includes a fine-toothed comb; packs of one or two 59 ml bottles exist.

Occasional skin irritation, redness or rash can occur, sometimes with tingling or a burning sensation. Stop and seek advice if severe irritation develops. Do not use if you are allergic to permethrin, other pyrethroids or pyrethrins, or if you are known to be allergic to chrysanthemums. For newborns and infants under 6 months, only use on medical advice. If you colour or perm hair, test a small area first. Keep out of reach of children, do not swallow, and avoid contact with eyes. The product contains parabens and fragrance allergens that may cause allergic reactions. For pregnancy or breastfeeding, ask a clinician for advice before use.
